CCC Officials Level 3 Certification Course and TD Update
The Alberta World Cup Academy, in conjunction with Cross Country Canada, is pleased to offer a Level 3 Officials course in Canmore, Alberta. The course will be held at the Bill Warren Training Centre over two weekends - Friday Oct. 24 - Sunday Oct. 26 and Friday Nov. 14 - Sunday Nov. 16. A team of outstanding presenters is being lined up to share their expertise and experience with you. Details on the presenters and course outline will be available in mid-September. A National Technical Delegate Update Seminar will also be held in parallel on Friday Nov. 14 - Sunday Nov. 16 at the Bill Warren Centre. Details about this seminar will be posted soon on Cross Country Canada’s website, which will overlap with the Level 3 course. The Level 3 course is intended to prepare experienced officials to assume the responsibilities of a Technical Delegate. In order to register for the Level 3 Officials Course you must have Level 2 certification (including experience in a "major" role) plus approval from your Division. There will be pre-course assignments for each participant which will be assigned at the beginning of October. There will also be post-course assignments given to each participant that will be fulfilled during 2008-2009 competitions, which are necessary in order to achieve Level 3 certification. This course is subsidized by the Alberta Cross Country World Cup Society. The fee for the course will be $100.00, and it will be necessary to attend both weekends. The course will commence at 6:00 pm Friday evenings and conclude by 4:00 pm Sundays. Course fee includes nutrition breaks, lunchs and dinner on Saturday.
