2007 / 2008 Events

Welcome to Alberta World Cup - a place for cross country skiing enthusiasts dedicated to hosting events at the highest level. As part of Alberta's Centennial celebrations, we recently hosted the very successful Alberta Centennial World Cup 2005, at the renewed Canmore Nordic Centre.

In January 2008 we will be hosting the Alberta World Cup in Canmore. Our activities are organized under the X C World Cup Society (XCWCS), a volunteer Alberta Society dedicated to officials' development and event hosting in Alberta. XCWCS was founded by Foothills Nordic Ski Club and Canmore Nordic Ski Club members along with support from Cross Country Alberta. All these organizations are part of Cross Country Canada, our national ski organization.

The 2008 Alberta World Cup race booklet contains the schedule of events, venue and course maps, as well as information on shuttle buses and Canmore festival activities. Pick up a book during the World Cup, or download it here.
