Seven Academy Athletes Selected to World Junior/Under 23 Champs |

Janelle will be representing Canada later in February in Turkey Cross Country Canada today released their selection synopsis on who will be travelling to Turkey later this winter. The results from the three NorAm races at the Calaghan Valley venue were used as selection for the upcoming trip to Turkey, with the team leaving February 11th. Of the 16 athletes selected, seven train with the Academy:

Annika Hicks
Heidi Widmer
Jess Cockney
Graeme Killick

The 10km and 15km classic races wrapped up the weekend of racing on Sunday at Callaghan Valley. Kevin Sandau finished 2nd, while Graham Nishikawa placed 4th. Coming out of a strong couple races, Emily Nishikawa once again took the top step of the podium, edging out second by 13 seconds.
Zach Holland finished 3rd in the junior mens category.
The teams next set of races are the Western Canadian Championships in Canmore, beginning Friday. Information on these races can be found here, which is hosted by the Alberta World Cup Society.
