Kevin Sandau Scores Alberta Cup Win |

 Photo by Dan Roycroft Kevin Sandau won his first race on the season on Saturday, taking the sprint finish for gold by just 0.7 seconds over Graeme Killick in the 10km mass start classic race. Fellow Academy skier Curtis Merry rounded out the podium in third, while Gord Jewett took 4th in his first classic race after having back surgery during the summer.
In Sunday's 15km freestyle event Merry climbed up a spot on the podium to finish 2nd, while Sandau finished 3rd. Jewett struggled on the final day of competition to a 6th place finish.
