A bad fall sabotaged an otherwise quality race for Jack Carlyle, who finished up is Scandanavian Cup tour in Lillehammer, Norway. Carlyle was running in the top 40 for most of Saturday’s 10 km skate race, but with half a kilometre to go, the Sault skier crashed into a fence, getting his ski stuck in the process. The mistake cost him 60 places, but returns to Canada with a few more lumps and a great experience which will fuel his racing for the rest of his career.
