MUSGRAVE MAKES HISTORY IN TOUR DE SKI January 8, 2015

British cross country skier Andrew Musgrave made history as the fastest skier in the 25km freestyle pursuit in the Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy.

Musgrave crossed the line in 53:29.3 minutes to finish fastest of the day, 7.3 seconds ahead of nearest challenger Maurice Manificat from France.

The result was enough to move Musgrave up to 11th in the overall Tour de Ski rankings, with Petter Northug Jr currently leading the way.

Musgrave’s win in this stage of the Tour follows Wednesday’s fantastic results in the Val Mustair leg, when both Musgrave and teammate Andrew Young finishing in the top 20 of the sprint competition, both securing World Cup points.
